Dawn has enjoyed a successful career in the Telecommunications and IT industry where she held senior positions, often at board level, in both International and UK based companies. After the trade sale of her last company, of which she was a founding director, she decided it was time step back from the business world and to give back to the community in London, of which she is a resident, and, in particular, the City of London of which she is an ardent supporter and promoter.
Dawn was elected in 2019 as a Common Councillor, representing the ward of Coleman Street. She chairs two grand committees, Digital Services Committee and The Fraud and Cyber Security Reporting and Analysis Procurement Committee. Other Committee appointments include: City of London Police Authority Board and Culture Heritage & Libraries Committee. Dawn is a trustee of the Honourable Irish society, and the Bridewell Royal Hospital Foundation. She is also Chair of governors for Harris academy Bermondsey and sits on the Harris federations main board, along with the finance committee.
