Barts Guild is delighted to announce the appointments of Mr Stephen Edmondson as Chairman, Mrs Jean Stevenson as Vice-Chairman, and Mrs Hilary Tarr as a Trustee, which were approved at this week’s AGM, held in the Basinghall Suite of the City of London’s Guildhall Art Gallery.

Outgoing Chairman Christopher Hayward said he had enjoyed being part of the Guild family and felt it an honour to have served during the ‘Barts 900’ celebrations. He signed off by praising our volunteers “who give so much of their time to our beloved Hospital. We couldn’t do without them.”

Incoming Chairman Steve Edmondson said that he was joining a family that achieves great things. Guild grants to the wards and theatres have improved conditions for staff and educational grants have proved to be very beneficial. Describing our volunteers as “the backbone of the charity”, Steve said that he has seen the trolley visiting the wards and knows how much it means to the patients.
